And the fact that it is near the beach. Delicious! We were there last weekend and I would like to tell you in this review how we experienced it.
Apart from the fact that Beach Resort already sounds very attractive, we were actually quite ready for a weekend of relaxation, so Nieuwvliet Bad van Roompot came at the right time. After all the odd jobs around the house and a few vacations that we had to cancel because of (well, you know), it was really nice to get away for a weekend. Nothing at all, except each other. Or well, partly. Because a quarter of our family was not with us. For the first time in our lives we left our teenage son at home and we went to Roompot for a weekend without him. Pretty exciting I can tell you!

The fact that we didn't all go together took some getting used to. To make our weekend in Roompot a bit more fun for Lotte, we took a friend to the Beach Resort Nieuwvliet Bad. Very cozy and worth repeating! Then you probably know that 😉, friends are an excellent alternative if part of the family decides not to come along! In recent years, we have been regularly in a Landal house, which has always pleased us very well. We are therefore very curious whether Roompot is just as nice and whether Nieuwvliet Bad can surprise us, you can read that below in our review.

From Friday to Monday morning we have access to the cottage in the dunes of Beach Resort Nieuwvliet Bad, but unfortunately we have to go home on Sunday. Nevertheless, we were able to relax well this weekend. The weather forecast was not very good. But, as is often the case, we have the experience that by the sea this is not always the case. In other words:we had quite a bit of rain, but also a lot of sun and it came exactly when we were outside. So all right.
We're a little late on Friday night. Not surprising for us, because Lotte is late from school. And then it is also a good 2 hours drive from Schijndel and there was still something to eat on the way. Around 6.30 pm I received a call from Roompot Beach Resort Nieuwvliet Bad. Just an interested question if we were already on our way and if we had the access code to the house with us. The reception closes at 20:00 in the evening.
Now our navigation indicated that we would be there at 19:59, but actually you don't need the reception at all to check in. And personally I think that's a big advantage. Not that I'm shy, but if everything is arranged, why should you check in? At Roompot they have a very handy other solution. Well before you start enjoying your weekend away or your holiday, you will receive an access code for your house by e-mail. With this you can enter your house and you no longer have to check in at the reception. Super easy!
You do not need a key to enter your house. Not even during your stay. As long as you remember that access code, you're all right.
By the way, you can also drive onto the Nieuwvliet Bad site in no time, there are no barriers you have to pass through and we arrive at our Beach Resort without any problems. In addition, there are more than enough parking spaces, so at Roompot they know exactly how to get your holiday off to a good start.

It is a pleasure to enter your house. Especially on a windy cold day, when they ensure that the underfloor heating is at the right temperature. It feels like a warm bath and a very warm welcome to discover our Beach Resort cottage in Nieuwvliet Bad in this way. The girls don't know how quickly they have to kick off their shoes to explore the place. As always, all doors are immediately thrown open to see what the house looks like and where THEY want to sleep. Do you recognize that? Also here in Nieuwvliet Bad we have to wait and see which bedroom of the Beach Resort we get, haha.
But we're lucky. The bedroom in the ridge of the house is super cozy and really something for those girls. With a round window in the ridge and two separate beds, they soon tack. This will be their room! Fortunately, we can throw down our bags in the master bedroom and we don't have to lug beds around to be able to lie next to each other.
We did not miss anything during our stay. I was able to remove the cork from my wine bottle with a Roompot corkscrew. Somehow that is a benchmark for the kitchen design for me 😉 . If there is a corkscrew in the cottage, then it is ok.
But apart from the corkscrew, the inventory is just complete. It is super nice that the towels are ready and that there is also such a Landal box in the kitchen. I call it a Landal box, because I know it from that, but maybe Roompot has always had this too. Such a box with garbage bag, dishcloths, washing-up brush, 3 dishwasher tablets and washing-up liquid. Together with the tea towels and the kitchen towel, that makes it complete. And personally I think it's great that I don't have to think about taking all this with me, but that it just belongs to the standard inventory of our stay at the Beach Resort Nieuwvliet Bad.
It's a carefree way to go on holiday. Just bring your clothes, some games to play like Azul and Bankrupt and toiletries and you're good to go.
The interior looks fresh, natural and modern with a touch of the beach, so to speak. Roompot's Beach Resort house not only looks like a beach house from the outside, but it also feels a bit like that on the inside. We feel right at home there.
After two days of hanging on the couch in the evening, it turns out that the couch is a bit too small for Frank and me 😉 . We are quite prone to lounging on the couch and that is not going very well on this couch. The moment I put a chair next to it to put my legs on, it's a bit nicer, but the back of the sofa is still quite straight. Well, tastes differ of course, because I know plenty of people who like to sit up straight on the couch. In the other houses that are somewhat larger, you have a corner sofa, for example, which gives you much more space to hang out.
It all looks very cozy in the sun, don't you think? There are no curtains in the house, by the way, but I don't have the idea that you are very much in the eye. Certainly not because the houses are set up in such a way that you cannot see inside each other.
Now we no longer have small children, but from what I have seen there is quite a bit of entertainment for the children. In the top photo you see one of the outdoor playgrounds that are located between the houses. Always handy to let your toddler run wild, and it's also nice that there is a fence around it and you can't just lose them.
Inside is a large indoor playground where smaller children can enjoy themselves. And at set times there is also a mini club for the kids. For the older children there is an indoor hangout as they call it. And it looks cool, don't you think? It's just that we were only there for such a short time, I'm sure the girls would love to chill here otherwise.
Lotte and her friend easily enjoyed a few hours in the pool. Although the pool is not very big for a couple of teenagers, the slides are fantastic! The swimming pool is also wonderful for smaller children. There is a separate toddler and toddler pool so you can keep a close eye on the little ones. From the 'center' of Beach Resort Nieuwvliet Bad you can keep an eye on the swimming pool if you wish. No longer applicable to us, so we had a delicious cup of coffee in the restaurant of Nieuwvliet Bad by the fireplace. We did not try the mini golf course because of the rain.
You can of course bring everything yourself, but we are not like that. Or should I say… our preparation is simply not that good when we go on holiday. I am always working until the last minute before departure. Or I quickly do some laundry or quickly vacuum the living room so that we come home to a clean house. But looking for everything together for our weekend away, that's not what I'm into. I grab the cheese and yogurt from the fridge, and of course a fierce wine from my wine pole. And off we go.
So we always have to do some shopping when we are on site, including at the Roompot Beach Resort in Nieuwvliet Bad. Fortunately, I was said to have met a man who loves to get fresh bread rolls in the morning, so I don't have to worry about that. In the afternoon I did some cheating myself in the 'local supermarket of Roompot. How beautiful!
Are you not into that and would you rather take everything with you? There is a combi microwave in the house, so you can go in all directions.
Not all houses allow pets, but some are. And when booking we chose to take Ca$h with us on holiday. We usually leave him at home most of the time. But when we go to the beach in the fall, I really think he can come along. So we can't sleep in too long, but that's a waste of the weekend, so completely fine!
In our house there were no extra facilities for the dog. Now we don't have to, because we bring our own basket, bowl and food. But it is in any case good to know if you are taking your dog with you. However?
Your pet is welcome in these houses
Are you a nature lover? Then you are really in the right place. We enjoyed the walks to and on the beach. From our house it is a short 10 minute walk before we are at the beach. We dive straight over the bridge over the road, into the Verdronken Zwarte Polder. And then it is only a short walk to the beach. The nature reserve of the Zwarte Polder borders directly on the beach, and at the same time provides beautiful pictures, don't you think? You can also walk through the nature reserve itself.
On the beach you have two beach bars where you can go. De Strandganger is the first beach bar you come across. By the way, it was closed for holidays when we were there. A little further is the Boekanier, a cozy tent with ditto staff where you can enjoy a snack and a drink.
Of course there are always some things that could be just that little bit better. They are not showstoppers, far from it, but I would like to mention them in this review:

We had a wonderful weekend at Roompot in Nieuwvliet Bad, the Beach Resort has everything you need to make time for each other and relax. We enjoyed and the area is really beautiful! The girls also had a great time, from which I dare to conclude that this park is suitable for children of all ages.
