On safari, you get up (very) early, you swallow kilometers of dusty and bumpy tracks in more or less comfortable 4X4s... Not really easy!
I choose:a safari that includes one or two days at the beach at the end or we add to your basic safari a seaside extension in the same country or in a neighboring country.
Where ? It is easiest to tan 1/ on the beaches of Monbasa after a safari in Kenya, 2/ on the islands of Lamu or Zanzibar after a safari in Tanzania, 3/ in the archipelago of Bazaruto or Quirimbas (Mozambique) after Africa from the south, 4/ on the shores of Lake Malawi, a superb freshwater lake with a false air of Polynesia, after a safari in southern Africa or Tanzania.
If it's to observe the wildlife well hidden in a minibus, you might as well stay at home and watch a wildlife documentary on TV! This safari, we want it on contact… but in complete safety, huh? No question of ending up chewed by a lion!
I choose:a private reserve or concession that organizes walking safaris with armed rangers in small groups. We see a little less animals than in 4X4, but we see them very closely, especially the herbivores:elephants, buffaloes…. Above all, we are no longer spectators but actors:we learn to spot traces, to use the wind to mask our smell, to move around without noise... Unforgettable!
Where ? In Zambia, South Luangwa National Park, Tanzania, Selous Game Reserve, Kenya, Swaziland, Mlilwane Game Reserve, and some private game reserves in South Africa.
Africa, we dream of it in technicolor, with infinite spaces and mythical mountains like Kilimanjaro.
I choose:a circuit that combines safaris and discovery of the most beautiful sites of the country (or countries), or an extension (for example to Victoria Falls) after a classic safari (for example in South Africa).
Where ? 1/ in Tanzania (ah, Kilimanjaro!!!), 2/ in Namibia to admire the red dunes of Sossusvlei, in the heart of the Namib desert, one of the oldest on the planet, 3/ in Botswana, in the Okavango Delta, 4/ on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe (ah, the Victoria Falls!!!), 5/ in Malawi, for its wild landscapes and its sublime freshwater lake classified by the Unesco.
