We all know Napoleon Bonaparte, the Emperor of France. But do we really know his life? If you are passing through Corsica and more precisely in Ajaccio (or if you live there), it is time to take a look at the Naporama exhibition. The life of Napoleon is in the form of a diorama. Quesaco? The diorama is “a staging presentation system showing a character (historical, fictional, extinct, etc.) in its usual environment (…)”. A playful way to enter history!
This somewhat crazy project came to life in Corsica in the city that saw the birth of Napoleon. But telling history is much funnier when it's with toys that speak to everyone:Playmobil. And it took a long time to recreate all these scenes of life:no less than 1,200 hours of work and 800 little Playmobils, all from generous collectors. Well, the little problem is that the Napoleon collection at Playmobil does not exist... so we had to create the costumes and sets for the 15 dioramas. And it's hard work to paint it all by hand!
Even if this expo received the agreement of the Playmobil company, it was not sponsored or organized by the company itself. Naporama is entirely supported by local actors and passionate volunteers who want to give history a facelift. The exhibition aims to be "resolutely against the digital trend". A great idea to get the nose off our screens and have some family time! For all the practical information you can go to the site.
When will the life of the General of Gaul in Lego or that of Charlemagne in Kapla? (end of article joke)
