Around the world in one day. That is what the Vakantiebeurs, from Wednesday 13 to Sunday 17 January 2016, has to offer. It's not for nothing that the motto is 'You would swear you were already there'. At the Vakantiebeurs you can get inspiration and ideas for the holiday, but also the anticipation and already experience the pleasant holiday feeling. Due to success, the special squares with the bundling of the six most popular holiday types of the Dutch are back. The Wellness theme square is new because the interest in wellness trips is growing. Here you can also enjoy a relaxing hand or neck massage to get into a relaxed holiday mood.
The other squares are Discover (distant destinations), Active (outdoor &sports), See (cities &culture), Together (family &children), Vaar (cruises &sailing), Buiten (camping &camping). On these squares you can start conversations with tour guides and experienced fellow travelers. There are games and competitions, presentations, lectures, workshops, music, dance and food everywhere.
As the demand for singles and singles travel increases, there will be a place where like-minded people can meet before traveling together. So they have already booked a trip and will meet their future travel buddy at the Vakantiebeurs while enjoying a snack and a drink. In addition, they can choose from specific activities, including a culinary route for singles and singles.
Culinary
This year again there is a culinary route along seven varied destinations. For a very affordable price, the enthusiasts get freshly prepared snacks that are so characteristic of those destinations. In addition, you can also visit the Cooking Theater with live half-hour cooking sessions, organized by representatives from different destinations. Moreover, there is a complete food market. All catering is adapted to the destinations in the various halls or per theme.
There will be a 'Thousand and 1 Nights' experience at the fair with a bazaar-like appearance, in which countries such as Tunisia and Morocco are central. Finally, the East and West entrances to the Jaarbeurs will be converted into airport terminals. The city square with holiday theme Seeing gets the New York skyline. Trusted ingredients are also the Adapted Holidays pavilion (now in hall 10), the sporting activities at the fair such as a climbing wall and diving tank, the selfie spots and the Vakantiebeurs Awards.
