1. Remove the terminals and remove the cables starting with the negative terminal (indicated by a "-") then positive (indicated by a "+").
Do the reverse when reassembling.
2. Then scrape off the pods to remove the bulk.
3 . Then, rub with a toothbrush with a mixture of water and baking soda.
4. Do not rinse, because the battery does not like water! Wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth before putting everything back in place.
There you go, your battery is now nickel :-)
