Are you crazy about chocolate? White, dark or milk? Then you should definitely visit the Quetzal chocolate bar, a must for all chocolate lovers. With various locations in the Netherlands, there is always a chocolate bar near you.
Quetzal is a fun concept that focuses on offering chocolate and chocolate products from Ghana, Ecuador and other tropical places where the cocoa originates. The name is derived from the Quetzal, a bird from Central America, where the chocolate comes from. The concept, which was originally Belgian, now has a number of branches in the Netherlands. You can enjoy everything that has to do with chocolate in Arnhem and Delft. In Belgium you will find Quetzal in Antwerp and Leuven.
As I have already indicated, Quetzal is a mecca for chocolate lovers. Here you can enjoy a high choq (a nice variant of a high tea), countless chocolate drinks, ice cream coupes, but also pancakes with chocolate, chocolate milk and freakshakes. Almost everything on the menu is about chocolate. But you can also enjoy a cup of coffee, smoothies, soft drinks and much more. Are you coming for lunch? Then you can also opt for one of the different sandwiches in addition to real pancakes.
Besides lunch you can also buy freshly made chocolate bonbons at Quetzal. The choice is huge and it is even possible to provide the bonbon with your own image (think of a logo or a photo for the birth of your child or a wedding). I don't know whether this is possible at all locations, but this is certainly possible at Quetzal in Arnhem.
A few weeks ago I visited Quetzal in Arnhem with my daughter. It was afternoon and we wanted somewhere to eat something. I had absolutely no appetite for fast food and luckily neither did my daughter. Of course you never know that in advance, but very often she chooses the well-known M instead of eating somewhere good. Fortunately, the word pancakes convinced her to try something different this time.
And so we arrived at Quetzal. Immediately upon entering you can smell the fresh chocolate. Delicious if you like it (I'm not a fan of chocolate at all, but that's also because it quickly gives me a migraine). My daughter loves coffee (in all varieties) and chocolate, so she was in her element here. She ordered cappuccino and pancakes with banana and dark chocolate.
Fortunately, there are also things on the menu if you don't feel like sweet. I ordered a hamburger toast next to a bottle of water (unfortunately they didn't have decaf coffee). So instead of a hamburger sandwich I got toasted bread with everything you normally find on a hamburger. We also got two pieces of fresh brownie cake that my daughter could eat.
Both the pancakes and my toast were really delicious. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted great. For the chocolate on the pancakes, my daughter could choose from the flavors dark, milk and white. She loves dark chocolate, so the choice was easy.
The owner himself prepared everything and took care of the service. Afterwards we had the opportunity to ask questions and I looked around. If you want to come here with children:take them with you. There is a table where the children can sit to play.
