Since the beginning of this year I blog on Sparkles Inside. I love to cook, but in fact I love food even more. My tip for you is therefore the Watertuin in Naaldwijk.
I love to eat out, for me that is also the ultimate relaxation. Now that we have a little girl of 1.5 years, we now and then opt for an all you can eat concept, nice and easy because my little monster likes it today, she can hate it again tomorrow. De Watertuin in Naaldwijk is such an all you can eat restaurant, not far from us. We'll be there within 5 minutes, and we can fill ourselves up haha.
I regularly go for a bite to eat at the Watertuin in Naaldwijk. What am I saying? A bite?! Lots of snacks! haha. At the Watertuin you can eat and drink all you can eat for a fixed amount. You have various packages for different prices and you can also decide for yourself how long you want to stay. You have to estimate this in advance, because you pay in advance. In the beginning I found that quite difficult because I didn't really know what to expect from it, but now I know that 2.5 hours is perfect.
During that time you can eat and drink as much as you want. You can choose between hot drinks:latte machiato, various teas, coffee, bottled drinks such as fristi and chocolate milk, but there is also a tap where you can tap soft drinks and fresh orange juice. You have 5 locations of the Watertuin, but Naaldwijk is the closest for me, so that's why I always choose this location.
At most restaurants you only have All you can eat dinner, that does not apply to the Watertuin. Here you can book All you can eat packages all day long. So do you want unlimited breakfast, lunch or dinner? Then you've come to the right place.
You have plenty of choice during breakfast. You have fresh sandwiches such as croissants and baguettes, but also warm toasties, bruchette etc. You can choose from various salads, but there is even hot food such as soup, poffertjes etc. The mushroom soup is really too delicious I can tell you, and I don't mind starting the day with that at all.
I must confess that I think the breakfast has deteriorated, previously you had a lot more choice of salads etc. You also had buffets in 2 rooms, but nowadays it is only in the room after the entrance. Still, you don't have to starve, because there is something for everyone. You can also enjoy delicious cakes and sweets for breakfast.
At lunch you have many dishes that you also have at dinner. You can choose between various hot and cold dishes and there is sushi! Although the sushi here is somehow tastier in the evening than in the afternoon. I think that is because it is much busier in the evening and the sushi is freshly made, I think it is longer in the afternoon and you can taste that, sometimes it is a bit dry.
At lunch you also have a diverse dessert buffet with, among other things, cakes, fresh fruit, but also Italian ice cream. At lunch there are also 2 chocolate fountains, which makes every woman happy, you can dip everything in it:fruit, lady fingers, biscuits, bacon, etc. There are also all kinds of nuts at the grill area.
Dinner is actually the most expensive of the day, not surprising when you see how much choice there is. It looks a bit like the lunch menu, only slightly more extensive. You can now also stir-fry tasty meat or fish and make use of the extensive grill buffet. In addition, you have lobster! Yum! You also have a lot of things that you also have for lunch, but that is not so bad. By the way, you have all kinds of pots with various biscuits for tea and coffee, these are also available for breakfast and lunch.
Children up to 11 years old eat for free every Wednesday during lunch or breakfast. You may not combine this with early bird promotion, birthday eats free promotion and also not with other promotions and/or discounts. There is also plenty of choice for children, even for the picky eater. If your child does not like very much, he / she can always attack the fries, frikandellen, croquettes or cheese soufflés. In addition to taking food into account, the Watertuin also provides other entertainment for the kids.
The Watertuin in Naaldwijk has a spacious courtyard with fish and other animals such as birds and parrots, but also a kind of indoor playground. The Watertuin in Spijkenisse has a large playroom. The Watertuin in Schiedam borders a public park with lots of playground equipment and the Watertuin Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht and Bergen op Zoom both have a large playroom. So the little ones don't have to be bored for a second.
Is it your birthday? Then you can eat for free at the Watertuin if you show your ID card, driver's license or passport. At many other restaurants you often have to eat with at least 4 other people. This is not the case with the Watertuin. 1 paying adult must accompany you. But this is a nice present, isn't it? If you want to surprise a birthday girl, you can have the table decorated or order a cake with a fireworks fountain for a small fee.
Every now and then a visit to the Watertuin in Naaldwijk is wonderful, but I don't necessarily have to go here every month. In addition, my husband is also more of the a la carte instead of walking back and forth to eat, but it is also easy with a child. 2.5 hours is more than enough, we often ate there before. Of course you don't have to cram for 2.5 hours, you can always walk around in the courtyard, take an extra tea, etc. I think it's a shame that you can't pay afterwards, but this happens in advance.
I also liked the Watertuin better a few years ago, I must admit, maybe that's also because I wasn't really used to all you can eat restaurants at the time. The sushi is tasty, but I wouldn't come here especially for this, so sushi at real sushi places is often tastier. I also don't think the restaurant is very cheap. Nevertheless, I always enjoy eating here, so I never go home hungry. I really recommend the restaurant, especially on your birthday.
