Canada is the land of nature and therefore an excellent country to discover through glamping. Spotting wildlife such as black bears and whales is very popular. But what's also fun is, for example, flying a seaplane to a hidden lake near Toronto and enjoying freshly caught wild salmon in the middle of the forest. Or discover the impressive forests with the typical Canadian Maple trees in Vancouver.

I think it would be great to go camping in nature this way. I do expect that you have to dive into your wallet, I haven't checked that. But it seems worth saving to me. And since we are already saving for a nice trip to America, we can always decide to go glamping in Canada, that doesn't matter of course.
There are also a number of things to keep in mind if you want to go to Canada. Whether you go glamping, spend the night in hotels or travel through with a camper.
If you think you can board a plane with only a passport, then you are mistaken. If you are flying to Canada for a short vacation, you will need an eTA document. Applying for an eTA Canada is best arranged in advance so that you can be sure that your holiday can start without any bumps. You also need this document if you want to visit family, go on a business trip or study in Canada. Please note that processing the request normally takes approximately 72 hours.
If you are going to Canada for longer than 6 months (I wish…), an eTA document is no longer sufficient, but you really do need a visa. This also applies if your passport does not meet the correct requirements. If you are still in doubt whether it is wiser to apply for a visa, you can make the right choice by reading the information on this website:Applying for a visa for Canada.
Are you going for glamping in Canada and would you also like to rent a car to explore the area? Keep in mind that many rental companies require an IRB. An IRB is an international driving license, model 1949. You must apply for this driving license separately in the Netherlands and it is available in an ANWB shop, among other places. The IRB must pick you up in person, it is important that you bring your own Dutch driving license and a recent passport photo. You will then receive the IRB immediately and it is valid for 1 year.
Then keep in mind that your driver's license B is not officially valid in Canada for driving a motorhome. In principle, you need a C1 driving license (light trucks and campers), or a C driving license, which is of course also good.
In practice, it turns out that they are not that difficult to do when renting a motorhome, but you have already been warned 😉 . Tip:If you manage to rent a motorhome with a B driver's license, check to be sure whether any damage is covered by the insurance company.
