Yes, I thought, when I heard that there would be a new film by Mees Kees. Isn't that a little mustard after a meal? And what about all those "old actors" who have been replaced by new ones? I got the idea that Mees Kees might be a nice setback along the line. Especially for my eldest, since he still had the previous films by Mees Kees purely in his head.

Let him just be the one who says on his own that he doesn't want to go to Mees Kees 😉 . Problem solved. So a week ago I took my girl to the movies with her girlfriend instead of my son. Popcorn with it, a drink and the cinema afternoon can't go wrong.
The moving farewell to the final musical in the last film by Mees Kees has completely escaped those chicks, so they enthusiastically dive into Mees Kees along the line, without prejudice.
As mentioned, some old actors have been replaced by new ones. Logical in itself, because the actors who played in the first three parts are now much too old for another role in a Mees Kees film. But lead actor Mees also has a new face. Now I have to say that this protagonist (Leendert van Ridder) is also a perfect Mees Kees 😉 .
Tobias (Jelle Stout) and Sep (Ole Kroes) are welcome additions to this film and play their roles with verve. The only really old 'acquaintance is Sanne Wallis de Vries who plays the strict and bumbling headmaster Dreus.
The future is central in this Mees Kees film:Project 2037. And Project 2037 is designed by Mees as a time machine. A large box, converted into a time machine, allows all students to transform into what they want to become when they grow up. From road worker to magician, every student pretty much knows what he or she wants to become and what talent they have. Except Tobias.
Tobias struggles with the idea of his future. He thinks he's not good at anything and that becomes abundantly clear with Project 2037. He's the only one in the class who can't say what he wants to be. When Mees Kees also tries to prepare the class for a football tournament, Tobias also seems to miss his father enormously.
The moment Mees's mother ends up in the hospital and he has to get their house completely in order in order to get her home again during her rehabilitation, it turns out that Tobias does have certain talents. Which talents, we won't reveal that yet.
But the fact that Mees Kees is a film with a good moral along the way, that comes to the fore at that moment;).
