Her name ? Pilot. Created by Waverly Labs, it is considered the first smart earphone. It allows you to translate a language in real time. This should save more than one, at work or even when traveling abroad.
Composed of two headphones, one for each interlocutor, it works without connection, via an application. Obviously the gadget is only in its infancy, conversations with more than two people are therefore impossible, but not unthinkable. Improvements are expected in the coming years. The same applies to the languages offered to users, which are currently only 4:English, French, Spanish and Italian. We can say that it is a good start! Several other languages such as Hindi, Slavic and Arabic will be available later.
The Pilot will be available in presale from May 25 on the Waverly Labs website for the sum of $129 or €115. It will definitely be on sale from the fall of 2016. So you can already plan your trips abroad without being afraid of not understanding what the locals are talking about. If the tool is expensive enough, it could well facilitate communication within the whole world, politicians or tourists, even if, nothing replaces the real learning of a language, we agree.
