Before the flight, we do a little sports session to let off steam. If we can't, we just do a few stretches to have, at least, the muscles relaxed. We also try to sleep a little less the night before the day of departure in order to be a little tired and help you fall asleep...
Type t-shirt, leggings and sneakers. Suffice to say that the stiletto heels of 12 cm, we quickly forget well done. And we do not ignore the socks, especially when we know that there is always the air conditioning on full blast in the planes. If we can we take them in 'fleece' material like those for skiing. So ok, it's not super pretty but comfort level is the top. Well, it's not like we're at Fashion Week!
And we prefer a seat on the window side, which has a double advantage. Not only does it allow you to rest your head against the wall of the plane, but also to avoid being disturbed by those who would like to go to the toilet. Moreover, we avoid at all costs to stand near the toilets, because it is often the noisiest place of the device. Well, if you have no choice, it is better to think of earplugs or use our headphones to cut the noise of the cabin a little.
And by equipment, we mean of course, eye mask, travel cushion (in addition to the cushion provided by the airline… or not!), compression stockings if you have heavy legs and the famous earplugs ( see previous point). If we are really cold, we can afford to ask the nice steward who has been making eyes at us since we entered the plane for an extra blanket...
Mainly water to stay well hydrated but you can allow yourself a micro-glass of alcohol (only one, huh!) if you really have trouble sleeping.
No need to jump on the snacks that are distributed on the plane. These tend to bloat us up quickly. The ideal would be to prepare a balanced snack beforehand, which you take with you on the plane (subject to having managed to pass security with it…) The choices are endless and varied:granola, fruit salad , sticks of raw vegetables…
This is the key element for sleeping well on the plane:a good position is the guarantee of quality sleep. If we are not lucky enough to be able to extend our legs to the maximum, we use the footrest located under the seat in front of us so as not to numb our legs and to allow good circulation of their blood. The travel cushion will play a key role here, keeping our neck in place.
A few drops of lavender oil on our wrists, forearms and behind our knees should have a magical effect on us…
There you go, with all that, you should fall into the arms of Morpheus at high altitude without too much difficulty!
