The All Saints' Day holidays start on October 20, 2016, and this is an opportunity for many French people to go on a trip, more or less far, just to decompress after the back-to-school rush. And if the plane is quite popular for its speed, waiting at the airport is not always pleasant:it is often very long and, if you can keep busy by going around the duty free stores, you can also get bored quite quickly (and you will still have to keep busy during the flight!). If you find a free seat, you can read a book, or surf on your phone… except that abroad, it can be expensive! The Skyscanner flight comparator site has listed the airports where you can surf for free.
According to the site, almost half of the major airports in Europe offer unlimited free wifi. Among the good students, we find the airports of Paris, Charles de Gaulle and Orly, but also Lyon-Saint Exupéry and Nice-Côte d'Azur. It is also possible to surf without cost in Alicante, Barcelona-El Prat, Amsterdam, Ankara Esenboğa, Antalya, Birmingham-West Midlands, Copenhagen-Kastrup, Dublin, Esmirna-Adnan Menderes, Frankfurt, Gran Canaria, Helsinki-Vantaa, Istanbul Atatürk , London-Heathrow, Lisbon, Madrid, Malaga, Milan (Linate and Malpensa), Moscow (Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo), Munich, Palma de Mallorca, Prague, Rome-Fiumicino, St. Petersburg-Pulvoko, Tenerife, Vienna and Warsaw. And for the others? There is usually a free period (which can range from 20 minutes to 3 hours), then you have to pay, and there the prices vary:13 € for 2 hours in Zurich, 12 € for 4 hours in Düsseldorf, 9.90 € for unlimited wifi in Marseille-Provence…
Engineer Anil Polat has created an interactive map that lists the passwords for wifi terminals in airports around the world (for example those in restaurants), available on his website. This map is regularly updated and also accessible via the WiFox app, available on iOS or Google Play for $1.99.
Well, we know everything! Good, and then you can always read BIBA if not at the airport...
