Espionage; Not only adults, but also many kids find this very interesting. Does your child love nothing more than solving riddles and listening in on the conversations of mom and dad? Does it have a script full of secret language? Then you really have to plan a trip to the cinema now! The film Meesterspion premiered on September 24. Your little spy probably noticed that and you have already heard something about it… Here you can read what we thought of the film.
Master Spy is a funny, but certainly also exciting film. So your kids should be up for a bit of excitement and action! The story is about 10-year-old Tim, who moves to sea with his parents. You'd think that salty sea air would do many a child good, but Tim isn't feeling well in his new hometown. He misses his friends, and making new friends just won't work. Until he accidentally finds a cellar under the hotel his parents started. And in that basement, yes, a real spy.
Before you think of the umpteenth vulgar James Bond:this master spy comes straight from the year 1973. Spy Simon was frozen in that year, after witnessing a crime. After all those years in the freezer, Simon is determined to uncover the truth. Tim decides to help him. After all, they already know who did it, now they 'only' have to see how they are going to tackle it. Suddenly Tim's new life becomes a lot less boring. That not only produces a lot of exciting scenes, but also a beautiful friendship. And apart from that a good story!
If your kids like some action, this family film is highly recommended. Master spy Simon is played by Beau Schneider, who is also no punishment at all for moms to watch 😉 . Dad will certainly be into the spy theme anyway, so going to Master Spy in the cinema with the whole family is a great family outing. And just as nice when the umpteenth autumn storm stands in the way of a day outside.
The film is by the same screenwriter as the blockbusters Mees Kees and Dummie de Mummy, titles that will undoubtedly sound familiar to you as a parent. Director Pieter van Rijn is known for, among other things, Pluk van de Petteflet and Familieweekend. So there is a good chance that Meesterspion will also fill many cinemas. Me and my mini Bonds really enjoyed it!
