Those who know the series Downton Abbey will jump for joy with the film Downton Abbey, which will premiere next week.
The hit series Downton Abbey tells the story of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants during the idyllic antebellum period before the First World War and on to the roaring twenties. As the world around them changes irrevocably, life in the opulent Abbey continues to be dominated by romance, ambition, passion and heartbreak; their lives are inextricably linked.
The series, whose sixth season was shown on television in 2015, has been awarded with three Golden Globe Awards and fifteen Emmy Awards. In total, the series was nominated 69 times for an Emmy Award. And now the movie is finally here!

This film will be shown in cinemas from September 12th and we can enjoy the Crawley family on the silver screen en masse. I was invited for a high tea with film screening on September 10, but unfortunately I cannot attend. That means I'm going to watch Downton Abbey on my own, because I definitely won't skip this movie!
In America, the presale of tickets was a great success and in the Netherlands too, halls are already fully booked by fans of the Crawley family and Donwton Abbey.
