Thanks to the partnership of Google Music and the travel site Tripadvisor, travelers from London, Paris, Sao Paulo or Las Vegas will be able to listen to local playlists. In total, there are more than 30 destinations that include at least two or three playlists:each city (or place) has a list of special songs according to its locality. Thus, we can listen to I Love Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower, Ibiza Night on the beaches of the island or Iconic Irish Rock in a pub in Ireland…. Playlists will be offered for a two-month free trial. To access it, simply download the TripAdvisor application, then click on the Google Music tab and select the desired destination. The feature will be available in 60 countries, and billed at €13.10 after the two-month expiration.
In addition to playlists, users will be able to access the 35 million songs in the Google Play Music catalog. Stephanie Kauffman, vice president of Tripadvisor partnerships, explains that "music is a real part of the travel experience" while Zahavah Levine, vice president of Google Play partnerships enthuses:"We hope that lovers music and travel will discover new soundtracks and travel tips together”.
