San Sebastian, also known as Donostia (in Basque), is a charming city located in northern Spain and bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the most chic seaside resorts in Spain. Between Gothic and Baroque architecture, the city of Donostia takes us back in time, but it is also a city that lives in the present, with its new young neighborhoods full of parties and contemporary design architecture. And, according to a study carried out by TripAdvisor, it is also the city with the most beautiful beach in Europe in 2017. The study is based on the positivity of the comments left on the different beaches of the Old Continent and it is the Concha Beach in San Sebastian which has been voted the most beautiful beach in Europe.
La Concha beach is 1,350 meters long and 54,000 m². Whether swimmers, families or surfers, everyone goes there. It borders a huge part of the city center and in the evening, you can see the reflection of the city lights (splendid!). In this ranking we also find a French beach in third position:that of Biarritz, on the Basque coast, which is also in the city center. It is preceded by a Greek paradise beach named Elafonisi and which is located in Crete on the island of Inachori. In any case, this ranking makes us want to go take a little swim in the sea, don't you?
