According to the Dutch, London is the best European city for shopping during a city trip. In second place, with 15 percent, is the always bustling Barcelona. Our own Amsterdam is in 3rd position with 12 percent.
After that, Antwerp and Milan (10%), Paris (8%), Berlin (7%), Rome (4%) and Copenhagen, Madrid and Vienna ( all 2%). This is the conclusion of a Zoover survey among more than 900 people.
Despite the fact that London is an expensive city, 22 percent of the Dutch enjoy shopping there. London is easily accessible, the shops in London are trendy and all the major fashion designers have a branch there. In addition to the expensive designer stores, there are plenty of cheaper stores that make it interesting for every wallet. The numerous museums and places of interest also obviously play an important role in the popularity of London.
