A pop up tent that is cooler and darker than all other tents, that may sound too good to be true, but it really exists. It is the Fresh and Black 2 seconds pop up tent from Quechua, available at Decathlon.

Are you an avid camper but the heat that makes you drive out of your tent in the morning makes you 'unwell'? Or do you really enjoy camping – except for that moment when your kids have to go to bed but can't sleep because it's still so light?
Then there is now a solution, namely the pop up tent Fresh and Black from Quechua. This tent can be set up in 2 seconds, if you believe the text. Seems a bit exaggerated to me, but he is faster than your partner conjures up a cold beer, I dare say that again. And even I can do it when I watch this video!
Update:August 2020
Setting up the tent is really a breeze according to this video, don't you think? Now I'm normally a bit skeptical when it comes to these kinds of videos, but this time I have a good feeling about it. And I can explain why.
The system of the Quechua pop up tent from Decathlon looks the same as the system of my screen that I previously used at the webshop for product photography. Such a collapsible, rotatable thing.
In terms of setting up the tent, this gives the advantage that this is almost automatic, as you can see in the video of the Fresh and Black. Repacking it again, that's a trick you have to learn. And to be honest, if you don't use the Decathlon pop up tent very much, you have to think about it every time.
2 seconds isn't quite right if you ask me, but 5 minutes seems very realistic to me!

How is it possible that this tent is a lot cooler than the 'normal' pop up tent? This is due to the patented FRESH &BLACK tent cloth that is used. It darkens 99% even in broad daylight and also stays up to 17% cooler. Great if you want to try and sleep in, especially if you're at a festival, for example! Did you go on a little longer in the evening? Then of course you want to relax in the morning. In a dark pop up tent that also stays nice and cool, this is of course a lot better. This makes camping even more fun!
We tried this Decathlon pop up tent ourselves at a festival. Satisfactory I can say! We even slept in it with the 3 of us, in the 2 person variant. It is also very easy to set up! Check out our video below.
The Quechua pop up tent is available in different sizes. Unfortunately, a 4-person is not among them. So if you want to use it with your family, you will have to choose the 3-person or twice a 2-person.
They speak for themselves now, the above advantages. However, I also see a few drawbacks to these pop up tents, which should not be left unmentioned.
So don't think that you will be going to the same campsite for two weeks and that you want to put all kinds of things in the tent. This tent is not intended for that and absolutely not suitable for that.
Pssstttt… read more reviews from all those satisfied customers who already use this tent? There are quite a few on the Decathlon site.
