Children for children aged 40 years in the Sound and Vision museum in Hilversum.
Last Sunday, Patricia and her children were guests in Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum on the Children for Children course. At 13 o'clock they were received and they were given an explanation about the museum. With drinks and fruit skewers behind their backs, the children couldn't wait for it to start. The Children for Children program is available in the museum from February 15 to March 1. For the hall programs you pay a surcharge of € 2.50 per person. It is useful to look up the website in advance. This way you can see whether the workshop you would like to attend is also available that day. You can view the program via this link.
Table of Contents
There is a Children for Children trail in the hall of the Sound and Vision museum. The children receive a stamp for each part and if they have all the stamps, they can pick up a button at the cash register. Yay!
There are four parts to the course:taking a picture, singing lesson, dance lesson and a kids for kids quiz. You can have the photo you take there sent to your own email address, so that you also have a nice memory at home. You can do this activity all day long and you don't need to buy extra tickets for it.
During the Sing-a-long workshop you will enjoy singing together, but you will also participate in the dances. Well-known songs are played for children as well as for moms and dads. Ridder has a microphone that he can throw at, so that the children in the audience can also sing along through the microphone. This is of course great fun for children of all ages to participate in.
In the coming two weeks, there will be various workshops to do in the museum of Sound and Vision. These workshops are given by children and coaches from Children for Children. There was no singing workshop today, but normally it is given by the singing coach of Children for Children:Michiel.
After the Sing-a-long workshop the girls were allowed to participate in the super dance workshop, which was given by Kelly. They were very enthusiastic about this workshop and enjoyed the dances.
The workshop started with a warming up and after that they danced the songs of all the King's Games. They even danced a part of the new song Hand in Hand. This is the number for the King's Games 2020. The workshop is from 6 years old. Our youngest daughter is 4 years old and did participate, but after that she was really very tired. Dancing for 45 minutes is quite intensive, but they thoroughly enjoyed it.
We had four children present. Lara, Miguel, Milo and Senna were present at the Meet and Greet in the Sound and Vision museum. The children were allowed to ask questions and afterwards there was still time to take a picture with them. After the Meet and Greet they got some snacks and a goodie bag and we visited the museum itself.
Before you enter the Sound and Vision museum, you will receive a ring. If you activate this ring at the beginning, you can record all doing assignments with it. This is highly recommended, because there are fun activities to do and you can check it all at home. We actually only had 2 hours left to visit the museum and we simply ran out of time! So for everyone who wants to visit this cool museum… take your time!
The children's radio factory is also present in the Beeld en Gleuid museum until March 1. This is well worth a visit. Upon entering you can take a pencil and a question booklet. Actually, this is from 8 years, but Kaylinn really liked it with some help. There are all activities to do. This way they can record their own news , make a radio play , but also record your own jingle † And the nice thing is, if you scan the ring, you can download the fragments at home. Our youngest daughter of four also really liked it and with a little adjustment she was also able to create her own news item. When all activities have been completed, the children receive a real radio diploma.
Upstairs is the children's children's doll studio. The kids can dress up there and then record a clip † By scanning the ring, they can control the lights and the cameras. Upstairs they can mix their own clip and they are just as real VJ .
The Efteling kids radio is located at the entrance. Here you can see how a recording is made, but even more fun is that the children are sometimes allowed to play on the radio. We were only here at the end of the day, but the children were allowed to help with the closing of the program. There is also a guest present every day in the afternoon, with us that was Ralf Mackenbach.
All in all, Sound and Vision as a museum really proves to be a tip. Not just for spring break, but actually forever!
