All the rooms are different and with a very marked character. The living room and the bathroom do not have the same decor if you choose an Aztec / oriental / pop art inspired room. But whatever the universe, we are completely charmed by the sense of detail, the quality and the beauty of the objects that make up the rooms of the Hotel Bazar. In addition, this atypical place which has only 27 rooms is on a human scale, a real good point!
The rooms of the Hotel Bazar are decorated with many antique pieces. The furniture is old and the mirrors in wood and juice. Both the objects and the materials are noble and real handmade pieces of craftsmanship litter the hall, the corridors and the rooms. It's lively, it's generous, thundering, even a bit kitsch for those who like a refined decor with everything squared. We feel behind this sharp decoration the touch of an owner in love with furniture, craftsmanship, authenticity and who wishes to make each of the rooms a unique experience.
At the reception of the Hotel Bazar you can also buy some decorative pieces. Be careful, you must have space in your luggage because they can be very bulky.
You can get from Rotterdam-Central station to Hotel Bazar in 15 minutes on foot. As for the hotel, it is located in the heart of the city in a historic street where the inhabitants like to meet. Naturally, on sunny days, the terraces are full and there can be a little noise for the rooms facing the street. So if you like to sleep in absolute silence, we ask for a room on the courtyard.
Mezze and oriental dishes are on the menu! The plates are exuberant, hyper-coloured and served in an XXL version. Main courses with meat are around €12. Great value for money! The terrace is large, pleasant and many natives of the city come there! And as a tourist, it's always nice to feel among "real people" and not confined with other tourists.
The double rooms of the Bazar hotel are from 80 € with a gigantic breakfast included. We reserve the room directly on photo via the hotel website. That way, no surprises on the decor!
