Prague Confidential #3

We're having a blast at Happyfeet

In Magdalena's musical closet resonate Czechoslovak notes of yesterday like those of Hana Hegerová or Marta Kubišová. If you don't (or don't) have any more record players to listen to his vinyl, take a look at Prim watches from the 70s.

We go from exhibition to concert at the Meet Factory

48 years old and the head of an eternal teenager, the artist David Černý stirs up the underground cultural scene in his disused factory. Wedged between railway tracks and an expressway, the Meet Factory hosts concerts, contemporary art exhibitions, artist residencies, plays... See the programme.

We nibble a piece of fat at the Naše Maso butcher shop

On Friday evenings, you sometimes meet star designer Maxim Velčovský at one of the two tables in this butcher shop. It must be said that the hamburger and the klobásy (sausage) are a house specialty. But forget the fries, here it's all meat… and beer at the self-service pump.

We drink our espresso at I need Coffee!

A few minutes from the quays of the Vltava, coffee lovers can take their little black to take away or swallow at the counter. We flip through magazines while a neighbor makes eyes at us...
