When you go to Rome, the Colosseum is undoubtedly one of the places to visit! Whether you have already visited the Italian capital or not, we all know what the monument looks like. Recently, the largest amphitheater built under the Roman Empire had a facelift, after nearly three years of work. It has thus regained its original color, after having been blackened by pollution for so many years. What better way to welcome visitors, during the day, but also, and recently, at night!
If before the night visit was intended only for tourists traveling in groups, CoopCulture, the agency that deals with the night opening of the monument, has decided that now everyone can enjoy it, and this for a quarter past one. Visitors will therefore be able to discover the hall of gladiators and enter the combat arena under the stars, accompanied by audio guides (in English, Italian and Spanish). The price of this nocturnal getaway? 18 €, 6 more than for a day visit.
For those interested, you should know that in May and October, night visits are on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. On the other hand, from June to September, they are open every day, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Let's go!
