If you want to go to a paradise island this summer and you haven't chosen your destination yet, stop everything! The American magazine Condé Nast Traveler has released its top paradise islands by continent, based on readers' choice of their travels and experiences. As far as Europe is concerned, the first 3 islands of the top 5 are all in Greece (and we understand why!). Unsurprisingly, Mykonos is in first place. But as it is very touristy, the site recommends not going there in July and August and going to Kounelas to taste the best fish.
Behind Mykonos, we find Crete, the largest island in Greece but also the one with the most history (particularly linked to mythology). To get to the beach of Balos, one of the most famous, no need to twist an ankle through the small paths, it is possible to take a ferry from the port of Kissamos. In 3rd place, we will not find Santorini, but Paros. This island is ideal for discovering Greece, far from the mass tourism of Santorini or Cordou, but offering the same advantages:white sand beaches, white houses, villages to visit, etc. In 4th and 5th place, Ischia (Italy) and Ibiza (Spain) won the hearts of readers.
All this makes us want to travel. Don't you?
