This summer, no fewer than 18 parks in the Netherlands will be transformed into Buurtcamping. At De Buurtcamping, all the people in the neighborhood can meet each other during a relaxing holiday in their own park. You greet each other, help each other and get to know new people easily. And this year, neighbors are not only camping in the big cities, because residents of places such as Haulerwijk, Nieuwegein and Kampen are also making their own Neighborhood Campsite.
The Buurtcamping provides special encounters. In 2016, for example, an average of 13 new encounters per person took place and 83% of the campers saw each other in the area afterwards. During the campfire, the hipster has a conversation with the social security mother from the street for the first time and the grandfather who has never camped before plays a game of yahtzee with children from the neighborhood.
On www.debuurtcamping.nl you will find an overview of all Buurtcampings and you can reserve your camping spot. In most places, De Buurtcamping takes place on the first weekend of the school holidays of the region in question.
