Café restaurant De Vereniging in Elst can be found at the beginning of the Dorpsstraat. It is a pleasantly decorated café that completely matches the authentic and cozy atmosphere of this Gelderland village. The interior is a surprising mix of homely and modern with enough space for 120 people.
Sufficient account has been taken of a diverse mix of visitors. It is the perfect place to have a business meeting, but it is also the perfect ambiance for a party. This also applies to a pleasant evening with your family. Prefer not to sit inside? No problem, you will find a large heated terrace outside where you can also relax.
There is plenty of choice from all kinds of cards (lunch, dinner), but a walking dinner or a buffet are also possible. In addition, you can make use of business arrangements, party arrangements and condolences.
As mentioned, I went to De Vereniging in Elst just before Christmas for a business meeting with a family member. At De Vereniging they have an extensive lunch menu where you can enjoy both small snacks and a delicious hot meal. In the end we opted for a warm meal, which is nice and easy, healthy and also ideal because that way we could eat bread in the evening.
The entire interior was extra cozy with a view to Christmas. The fireplace is a real eye-catcher and underlines the authentic atmosphere that prevails in the restaurant. You can choose whether you want to sit at a regular table, enjoy yourself in a lovely armchair or sit at the bar.
The service was very friendly and helped us quickly, both with drinks and food. As you can see in the photo below, my portion of satay with fries was a decent portion. The other table companions opted for schnitzel, pasta carbonara and burger. (Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of that).
The prices of the lunch menu vary widely and depend on what you take. For example, you can already have a plate of tomato soup with meatballs for € 6.50 or you can opt for fillet steak for € 24.75. So you can make it as expensive or cheap as you want.
