In North Holland you can enjoy a great free trip, Animal Farm Beverwijk. A must if you like critters! You shouldn't compare it with the petting zoo around the corner. At the Animal Farm you will also find pythons, crocodiles, coatis and exciting tropical animals. Rather a zoo than a farm.
Table of contents
Animal Farm was originally a petting zoo (since October 1972), but has been able to call itself a zoo since 2007. It may not be the largest zoo in the Netherlands, but it is one that you can visit every day. Free.
Animal Farm is located on an island in the water in the middle of the Willem Alexanderplantsoen. They regularly organize fun activities for visitors and do you want to support them a bit? Then you can do that by becoming a friend of Animal Farm. But nothing is mandatory 😉 .
In addition to the various bird species they have here, you will also find the animals below.
It is also nice that the chickens, ducks and goats they have in this small zoo can be fed. In addition to being able to visit the animals, there is also a small playground.
