I throw my suitcase on the made bed and open the curtains. It's snowing! "Honey, it's shiver the shiver cold.” Husband looks at my shoes. "Those shoes don't suit snow. You brought something else with you than just that, didn't you?' ‘Of course, I am of course not going outside for the first time.”
I take my snow boots out of the trunk and kick off my heels. “Ta-daaa.” “What do you think? How will I survive our shopping weekend in London?'

I kick the snow out from under my shoes when I Harrods walk in. What an insanely beautiful and large shopping Valhalla this is.
Make my day.
Husband comes after me in a fast run and yells that I would never run that fast otherwise. I don't react because I can't take my eyes off all the beauty. "Honey, you do the men's department and I the women?" I can't help but let him follow my route. Husband looks at me contemptuously. 'Am I not good enough to advise?'
Harrods is London's most famous department store and when you walk into the seven-storey building, everything looks like a fairy tale. The huge department store occupies an entire residential block and is full of the most exclusive brands such as:Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent. Do you think it's crazy that I want to take a moment to take in all this beauty at my own pace. To give you an idea of how big Harrods is:add up all the floors of the Bijenkorf in the Netherlands and you have the total floor area of Harrods.
Do I make myself clear?
To be able to see all this floor space, you understand that my body has gone through quite a cardio. And after an intense cardio, my body needs nourishment. Fortunately, they have a catering department here that you can tell. I look at the signs which way to go, but it's one big maze here. I can no longer see the trees for the forest.
"Hold still," Husband orders—when I'm on the phone with him. I'll wait neatly for the Husband to rescue me from this cramped position. There he is already:my lifesaver. The man I love, who I've only been with for a year and who I already know that I want to stay with him forever. Husband , he may not be, but all week I've had a dark brown suspicion that something is going on. He is working on something…
We have to be back at the hotel on time Husband says. He's discussed a restaurant and we still have to get dressed. "Since you're dressing up ten more times, it's better if we start our make-up session on time. “And, he continues, we should have a drink at the hotel. That's right.'
We almost get into a fight because I think he's overly stressed, but I bite off my tongue to maintain harmony.
A glass of champagne, a toast and a kneeling Husband. “What are you doing now?” I play in surprise. Fairytales don't exist? But this fairytale is really happening.
Now, almost seven years later: we are still going strong. In the Grazia I read that Patrick Kluivert had proposed to his wife again after ten years – with a mace from a ring. [hint hint hint]
Fairytale addict? Perhaps. In any case, we're going to London for another weekend in April – for shopping of course 😉
