Whether we go to Madame Tussauds sometime. Luc came up with that question about six months ago and I was utterly amazed. First of all, I didn't know that he had heard of this before and besides, since he was a teenager I'm not so used to him waiting for this kind of outing. Yes, he likes a child-friendly festival, but a museum? So I was surprised. Because of his proposal, and especially after we actually visited the wax museum Madame Tussauds, read our review below!

It's been years since I've been there. I think 30 years ago, but maybe more.
I can remember that as a child I found Madame Tussauds very nice and also a bit exciting. But the thought of walking through this museum with the children now did not immediately give me the feeling that they would also like this. How wrong I was! Madame Tussauds has really moved with the times and makes the wax museum a super fun experience for yourself and your children.
The wax museum can no longer be compared with the past. Secretly I had the idea that we would walk past all kinds of wax figures, more than half of which would be unknown to our children. But it turned out great in the end.
Of course there were some images that they did not recognize, but certainly that many images immediately appealed to their imagination.
There are also so many artists included in the collection of the Madame Tussauds museum that it is recognized by children in this day and age. From Marco Borsato to Ariane Grande and Rihanna and from Hardwell to Martin Garix. But of course also King Willem Alexander, 'his' Maxima, Rico Verhoeven and Einstein were immediately recognized.
What made Madame Tussauds so surprising to me (good for the review) is that they've incorporated a ton of interactivity throughout the museum. For example, you can participate in a real Grand Prix Experience to see who sets the fastest time, but also end up on the cover of a magazine and walk on the catwalk like a French model. Lotte thought the latter was fantastic, and secretly so did we;).
I enjoyed the fashion designer who took Frans Lotte into the world of models in her semi. Not only was she nicely dressed, but she was also prepared for her 'Walk of Fame' with the French battle. At the end of this spectacle you will also receive a nice video that will be emailed to you.
Also nice:Rico Verhoeven keeps an eye on you. Don't think that if you stand in a different position you will escape his attention. His eyes follow you everywhere! And always wanted to experience how Marilyn felt back then when she stood above that air vent? I experienced it!
You will find Madame Tussauds in the middle of the dam:Dam 20 in Amsterdam. And are you there? Then also take a nice walk over the dam between the pigeons and through the Kalverstraat. The latter is then 'recognized' from Monopoly 😉 .

We really liked Madame Tussauds. Don't count on being able to spend a whole afternoon there, you'll be outside again (amused) with a good hour. I can assure you that it is also a fantastic outing for your children, especially the amount of interactivity makes it a lot of fun. Oh yeah… psttt… for people who love selfies… totally tha bomb here! Make it a nice trip to Amsterdam and fully enjoy this beautiful city.
And in case you think Luc wasn't there… he was there and had a great time. But in the picture? no way! Well… adolescents…
