If in most stories of great travelers the protagonists leave without a penny in their pocket, Johnny Ward had the advantage of having a lot of money in his bank account. After growing up in a very modest family in Northern Ireland, the young man's professional life had taken off, offering him a more than comfortable situation. He could earn up to 20,000 dollars a month (about 19,000 euros!). But now, being stuck between four walls from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. was not the life he wanted. So he took the risk of dropping everything to go on an adventure.
In 2010, he took a one-way plane ticket to Zimbabwe. This is when the globetrotter created his blog, OneStep4Ward , with the idea of documenting his future expeditions. Besides that, Johnny Ward launched a marketing box to allow brands and bloggers to optimize their online presence. Today, he can boast of having a flourishing business (with a profit of more than a million dollars a year) and of traveling around the world as he had dreamed. And to top it off, during his explorations, Johnny crossed paths with a Thai air hostess with whom he fell madly in love. Here's one who did everything well to live his dream!
