Some holidaymakers do not like the beach and prefer the swimming pool. Granted, but the place has a main drawback:attendance skyrockets on hot days, and it is not always easy to find a small square of water among the crowds that have stormed the pools. A swimming pool located in Chile is not likely to encounter this problem:with its 250 million liters of water and its surface area greater than 9 football fields, it is the largest on the planet. The basin – or rather the lake, on this scale! – is part of the San Alfonso hotel complex in Algarrobo, a seaside resort in the center of the country. And she really makes you dream!
Its kilometer long and its depth which reaches up to 35 meters offer many possibilities in terms of activities:swimming of course (but be sure to have had a hearty breakfast before!), kayaking, windsurfing sailing but also diving. The water, kept at 26 degrees, is pumped directly from the Pacific Ocean, before being filtered and treated. Rather ecological, then! Unfortunately the XXXL swimming pool is reserved for hotel guests, and with this (very) big advantage, we imagine that the night is not given… But we can always watch the video on a loop while waiting for the next departure for vacations. Come on, we don't deprive ourselves of this little pleasure!
