Women choose the holiday destination (53.1% female versus 17.7% male), arrange the hotels, car rental and excursions (45.8% female versus 15.6% male), search and book the airline tickets (64.6%) and arrange all the necessities you need before/during a holiday, such as a passport, visa and all vaccinations (54.2%). When it comes to paying, the man gets to pull his wallet. No less than 60.4% of the male respondents ultimately pay for the airline tickets. At the holiday destination, men are also twice as likely to open their wallets than women (36.5%), but they are even more likely to pay together (46.9%). People pack the suitcase individually (53.1%), but only 4.2% indicate that the man does this all by himself (42.7% woman). This is apparent from a study by Vliegtickets.nl.
