It just depends on what you're looking for in a luxury campsite, of course, but more and more people want the opportunity to 'retreat' and wallow in luxury during their holiday. So not only a great family campsite for the children, but also for the parents. In that case, only a very nice glamping accommodation with a swimming pool and the like is not entirely sufficient. No, then you will look for a next level campsite.
A luxury campsite where, for example, there is also a spa and wellness area. For the parents, not for the children. At these types of luxury campsites, the wellness area is often only accessible for adults. To also create a bit of peace. It might take some getting used to to really take time for yourself during your holiday, but it is also your holiday, right?

The wellness area at the Yelloh! Village camping was fantastic, but also the swimming pool itself is nice. Besides that, you can do a lot more than just wallow in luxury and opulence at this campsite.

Do you want to keep your holiday completely in style with the luxury campsite where you stay? Then there are a number of hotspots where you can go to marvel at luxury, opulence and extravagance.
At first I thought Saint Tropez was an island in the Mediterranean. My hubby put me on the wrong track because he took us on the boat to sail from Saint Raphaël to Saint Tropez.
It turns out that you can also get there by car, about an hour's drive from a luxury campsite on the Côte d'Azur. But, the boat is highly recommended! It is a wonderful trip over the water and you arrive immediately at 'the place to be' in Saint Tropez. The harbour.
In the harbor you can marvel at the large yachts that are moored here. Would you like to keep your eyes peeled for a while? Then sit on the terrace on the boulevard. Order a delicious 'Piscine' and imagine yourself in the land of the rich. With a full glass of wine in hand, you sit opposite the largest yachts that dock here in Saint Tropez to be viewed. So you don't have to be ashamed if you open your eyes.
Mind you… the more Piscines you drink, the higher your bill will be when you take the ferry back to your luxury campsite in Fréjus. One good glass of wine on this terrace, because you pay € 10.00 for that.
If you are in Saint Tropez, don't forget to also check out the old town of Saint Tropez. So many cute little streets to stroll through make your day there complete.
Big bigger Biggest. That's what counts in Cannes. Or expensive, more expensive, most expensive. That too 😉 . Did you think you could feast your eyes on Saint Tropez? Then wet your chest for Cannes. About a 45-minute drive from our luxury campsite in Fréjus, the yachts in this harbor are even bigger if possible. We even saw a yacht with a helicopter on it (check above)!
In addition to the extremely luxurious boats that you will find here, the special cars here can also not be counted on one hand. The main road that runs along the boulevard de la Croisette here is the place to be if you want to spot these cars.
With the beach and harbor on one side, and the most luxurious and expensive hotels you can find in Cannes on the other, the Lamborghinis and the like drive back and forth. Or they are parked. Even if you don't like cars, this is still spectacular!
The two kilometer long La Croisette runs from the Palais des Festivals along the sandy beaches to the marina. A must see when in Cannes. If you are also at the Palais des Festivals - where the famous film festival in Cannes takes place every year - walk with your children past all the hands that you find here of famous people on the sidewalk. This will bring you to the best conversations!
After all the spotting of those yachts, do you also want to get behind the wheel of a boat? Then I can highly recommend a trip to Port Grimaud.
It is about a 50-minute drive from your luxury campsite in Fréjus to arrive in idyllic Grimaud. Port Grimaud has a fantastic appearance and the best thing you can do here is rent a whisper boat and sail through the town itself. It feels a bit like Venice, but better.
Of course you also give the children the opportunity to take a seat behind the wheel. Find a nice day to take a boat trip. The windier it is, the smaller the route you can take with such a whisper boat. It is therefore preferable to choose a windless day!
The boulevard in Fréjus itself is also a good place to be. A pleasant town where you can stroll along the beach in the evening, for example. Whether one of your children can enjoy themselves on the trampoline, always a party!
During the day you can spend a day here on the beach if that is what you like to do during your holiday. That is not a question for the children of course. From our luxury campsite it is about 4 kilometers to the beach. So doable.
