We are considering going on holiday closer to home next summer, somewhere in Germany. In recent years we have been on a trip with Landal a number of times (eg Landal Seawest and our holiday in Austria). I really liked it so I went to look around for Landal Germany parks. Landal has 10 parks in Germany, so in principle there is plenty of choice. The question now is… which Landal park in Germany are we going to visit?
Table of Contents
The Landal parks below can be found in Germany. The first 6 are fairly close together in West Germany near Limburg and Belgium. Then there is another Landal park in the middle of Germany (Salztal Paradies), one in the north towards Denmark (Travemünde) and one near Bremen, near Drenthe (Landal Dwergter Sand). And then of course we have Landal Winterberg, but I think most of them are familiar with them. You can find them below on the map and by clicking on the house you will get more information.
That is a difficult one to answer, because that is of course very personal. The sea itself always really appeals to me and in that case only Landal Travemünde would really qualify. In recent holidays, however, we have also walked a lot and that was also very pleasant. As it looks now, we are going to look for a nice area in Germany for walking.
Perhaps the area around the Eiffel or the Moselle Landal parks in Germany. It is also the Landal Germany parks closest to the Netherlands. Great if you don't want to drive that far during your holiday, or if you might want to get away for a weekend or visit Christmas markets in Germany.
First of all, I check myself which area we would like to visit and what we want to do. We are looking for nature, some nice towns nearby and activities to do. In addition, a nice holiday park where everything is at hand is also part of the wishes.
That is of course also an important argument to take into account. Are you looking for the most beautiful houses? Would you like a house with a fantastic view or that there is plenty to do in the area? And how about a swimming pool for the children. Is that a must? In any case, I will list all these options for myself, so that I can consciously choose from the Landal parks in Germany.
We would like:
The nicer big cities in Germany are:Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Dresden, Leipzig, Hanover and of course Berlin. Unfortunately, quite a few of those cities are not close to the Eiffel and Moselle, except for Cologne, Heidelberg and Stuttgart, which are all within a 2-3 hour drive. Not quite 'next door', but as far as I'm concerned it's doable to stroll around in one of these cities for a day during your holiday in Germany!
In addition to the large cities, however, there are a number of small towns/villages that are located in the vicinity of Landal Germany parks. And they are probably worth visiting even more:Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach, Trier.
In the vicinity of the Moselle you can enjoy beautiful walks and there are numerous towns and castles to visit. In this area there is also a huge suspension bridge that is worth a visit and there are climbing parks near the parks. The Landal parks located near the Moselle in Germany are listed below (purple on the map above):
The Eifel area is also wonderful for walking. It is not for nothing that the Eifel National Park is located there in a landscape of Water and Forest. Phantasialand is also easily accessible from the Eifel region and don't forget the Pearl of the Eifel, Monchau. The following (orange on the map) Landal Germany parks can be found here:
Green on the map. A visit to the Werner Freund Wolvenpark is recommended according to Landal and Trier is also easily accessible from here. Expansive nature, sailing on the water and visiting small towns and museums are all fine here. In Hochwald they also have special dog bungalows for animal lovers who want to take their dog for a walk.
There are also special dog bungalows at Salztal Paradies (yellow on the map). Also visit the caves, the National Park and the towns of Goslar and Quedlinburg. Or step into a steam locomotive!
The Dwergter Sand Landal park (red on the map) is located on a recreational lake with an associated beach (of the municipality), the swimming pool they have here is not worth mentioning for older children. The Molli-Bär play park is nearby and there is also a climbing forest.
The bungalows are located close to the beach and the environment is focused on nature and water. The Hansa-Park amusement park is easily accessible from this Landal park in Germany and a trip with the panorama ship to Lübeck is also recommended. No swimming pool here.
Sauerland is the part of Germany that is very suitable for outdoor activities. Mountain bikers and hikers enjoy the varied landscape here. Winterberg is also ideal for a weekend skiing in the winter, for example. If you are in this Landal Germany park, you can also visit the Adventure Land Fort Fun and the climbing park.
I prefer one of the Landal parks in the Eifel or Moselle region. Who of you has already been to these Landal parks and can let me know which park and how you liked the park and the environment there?
