If Canada caught your eye but you were still looking for a good reason to book your plane tickets, here is what should convince you:in 2017, all of Canada's national parks and reserves (i.e. 47 parks in total, likewise) will be free. Yes, yes, completely free, from January 1 to December 31, 2017, on simple request. Canon, right?
The reason for this free? On July 1, 2017, Canada will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its Confederation (=the unification of the territories founding the country as we know it today). So it's party time! Parks Canada, which manages national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas, has created a Discovery Pass, which can be ordered online for $0. Usually, it takes around $7 Canadian (5€) to enter one of these places. There, it's not only free, but for all parks, all year round. The order is made online, knowing that one Pass is enough per vehicle.
Shall we take our tickets?
