Receiving money to stay in paradise seems like utopia. However, this is what the tourist office of the American Virgin Islands, in the West Indies, offers. On March 31, they will celebrate the 100th anniversary of their transfer to the United States by Denmark. On the occasion of this commemoration, called the "Transfer day", tourists will receive 300 dollars to visit this archipelago which looks like a postcard.
No, it's not a dream! To benefit from this offer, a few conditions must however be met:visitors must travel between January 2 and December 31, 2017 and stay a minimum of three nights in Sainte-Croix, Saint-John or Saint-Thomas. The $300 will be given to them in the form of vouchers, which they can spend on cultural and historical activities on the three islands. Kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, snorkeling, fishing... There will be something for everyone!
To take advantage of the crystal clear waters, white sand, seabed and tropical forest, simply register on the site of the archipelago's tourist office... and dip into your savings to finance the hotel. and the plane ticket!
