1. Playground Linnaeushof, Heemstede
The Linnaeushof in Heemstede is a playground in North Holland that should certainly not be missing from this list. We even wrote a review about it before. You will find various playgrounds in this 'park', such as a special playground for the older kids, a playground for toddlers and toddlers, an indoor playground and a water playground. So enjoy your stay here. They also call themselves Europe's largest playground. You can easily spend a day here.
Open:Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb they are closed. In March and October partly closed, partly open. It's best to take a look at their site.
Cost:not cheap, € 13.00 from 2 years old

2. The Nursery Garden in Haarlem
There is a lot for children to do in this city park. There is a petting zoo, greenhouses, a breeding café and nowadays also a nature playground. More than just a normal North Holland playground!
Open:Open all year round, until 5pm on weekdays (and also on weekends in winter). In the summer open on Saturdays and Sundays until 19.30.

3. Hoenderdaell Estate
On this estate you will find a real zoo with a great playground in North Holland! There is a lot of fun to do.
Open:all year round from 9am to 6pm (except Christmas Day and New Year's Day).
Costs:Children from 0 to 2 years free † Children from 3 to 5 years old €5. From 5 years:€11 per person. Buy your tickets online for a discounted price.
Eating and drinking facilities available. And of course a beautiful zoo where you can get very close to the animals.
4. Outdoor playground North Holland, the Safe Harbor in IJmuiden
At playground De Veilige Haven in IJmuiden North Holland it is fun and safe to play. There are nice devices such as a monorail and family swing. Or climb the lighthouse, and then slide down nicely.
Open:The opening hours are quite variable. It is best to take a look at the website for that.
Cost:€1 for all ages
There is a food and drink facility available. You are allowed to bring your own food… But with the proceeds from the shop, new appliances are bought. So no wrong sponsorship in this North Holland playground.
5. Zeewijk Natural Playground in IJmuiden
Another play paradise in IJmuiden:nature playground Zeewijk Natural. Here your kids can mess around with mud, climb on the playground equipment and build huts in the woods. A very nice natural playground, where it is also a good place for parents. A nice bonus, right?
Open:Open all year round. In winter only with good weather. Check the varying opening times on the website.

6. Groenendaal outdoor playground in Heemstede
Groenendaal outdoor playground has been around since 1916! So many children have played in it. And the playground in North Holland has just been completely renovated. So let's play 😉 . There are a lot of play equipment so there is something for every child. Played enough? Then pay a visit to the petting zoo!
Open:In the summer period open from 10:00 to 18:00. Check the opening times on the website in case of bad weather.
Costs:€3 per person.

7. Play forest Brambergen in ’s Graveland
Walk across the pond (if you dare) or play and clamber on the playground equipment. There is plenty to do in Brambergen play forest! In the meantime, mom and dad can enjoy a cup of coffee inside or on the terrace. A nice afternoon playing outside is guaranteed.

8. Oerrr nature playground in ’s Graveland
Another beautiful nature playground from Natuurmonumenten! A wonderful outing for small tomboys in North Holland who like nothing more than to play outside. And it is also a good place for parents! Have a nice picnic by the pond, clamber on the playground equipment or take a walk through the play forest.
Open:This North Holland playground is open daily all year round.
Costs:Free .

9. Play park Oud Valkeveen in Naarden
In Speelpark Oud Valkeveen you can play both outdoors and indoors. And there are a lot of exciting attractions! It is actually more of an amusement park in North Holland than an outdoor playground. A lot of fun activities are also being organized, so it's smart to check in advance whether your visit can be combined with them.
Open:Opening hours vary quite a bit. Therefore, just to be sure, take a look at the website.
Costs:Children under 2 years free. E-tickets:€9.50. Day tickets at the box office:€10.50. An entrance fee of €8.50 applies for people over 65.

10. Neighborhood center and outdoor playground De Zoutkeet in Hilversum
At Wijkcentrum De Zoutkeet in Hilversum there is also plenty to do for children. There is a very nice outdoor playground in this corner of North Holland where the kids can enjoy themselves for hours.
Open:Monday to Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday afternoons from 1.30pm – 5pm. Closed in bad weather and in winter.
Costs:€1.20 per person.

11. Play forest 't Laer in Laren
Have fun on the tree trunk path or mess with water in the stream. In the outdoor play forest 't Laer in Laren you can play in a natural environment. You will not find iron climbing frames here, but only natural materials. And that actually plays very nicely!
Open:Open daily from sunrise to sunset all year round.

12. Land of Fluwel in Sint Maartensvlotbrug
An adventure paradise, that is what you will find at Land van Fluwel. Here you can really enjoy yourself all day long. And that certainly applies to your kids. Visit the Dutch Tulip Experience, conquer yourself on the Bare Foot Path or go wild in the Adventure Play Paradise.
Open:Open daily from March to October from 10am to 5pm.
Cost:0-1 year free. Children 2 years 4.50. Children from 2 years €9.50 and adults €8.50.

13. Play wreck Oudeschild Texel
A spectacular play wreck of up to 35 meters at the marina in Oudeschild which is fun to climb on and in itself, but you will also find a water playground here. Mamaliefde wrote a nice blog about their experiences at this playground in North Holland; play wreck Oudeschild.
