At the Farmers Market, a stone's throw from The Grove shopping center, you buy your meat by weight, your French cheeses from Monsieur Marcel, your fruits and vegetables from neighboring farms and you sit where you want to taste. And enjoy the atmosphere. My food favourite? Grand Central Market in Downtown. Open since 1917, this covered market mixes people as much as kitchens. Families in their Sunday best, policemen in uniform, workers in overalls and businessmen in ties line up to order Mexican, Chinese, Californian… Everything is prepared on site and to order. A real good plan to eat well without breaking the bank!
