The road meanders along Lake Tukapi with turquoise reflections surrounded by snow-capped mountains. In the distance, Mount Cook, the highest peak in the country, rises to 3,724 m, surrounded by equally majestic mountains. It is here that the largest glacier in the country, the Tasman, is nestled.
