The "Big Apple" will soon be within reach of many wallets. From summer 2017, it will be possible to fly to New York from Edinburgh from 56 pounds or about 65 euros! The good news was announced by Norwegian Air, which already offers flights between Gatwick and New York for 125 pounds, or around 145 euros.
To set up these flights at low prices, the company had to make savings on various items. The planes chosen to carry out these connections are Boeing 737MAX, equipped with modern engines that consume little fuel. To cut prices, these aircraft will take off and land in less expensive secondary airports. Another idea from Norwegian Air:make up for the shortfall by increasing the price of checked baggage or seat selection. Options that will be charged 50 pounds or about 55 euros. We must of course add to this the price of the flight to Edinburgh, but it is true that we are far from the usual prices for flying to New York!
