Dutch people often lose their luggage. No less than 14% indicate that they have lost their luggage one or more times in the past 5 years. When asked whether they have ever left their luggage in a public place, 19% of those surveyed answered yes. Although we regularly lose luggage, 30% of the people surveyed want to be able to take more luggage with them on holiday. This is apparent from a survey by Van Beek Lederwaren among more than 1,000 people.
The maximum amount of luggage that people are allowed to take with them is a major annoyance for many when they go on holiday. The research shows that 30% want to take more luggage with them than is currently allowed. Many people are willing to pay extra for it. Half of the respondents want to pay up to €25, 10% want to add up to €50 and for 5% of the people it doesn't matter how much extra they have to pay. 36% of the surveyed group does not want to pay extra.
