Decidedly, 2017 seems to be the year in which all the more impressive spaces dedicated to entertainment flourish. After the opening of the largest indoor amusement park in Dubai last month and the upcoming opening of the theme park dedicated to the universe of Avatar , it is a place with a slightly different but equally original style that should soon see the light of day in Turkey. Baptized “Parcorman”, the project is none other than a huge forest park that will be developed in an already existing green space about ten kilometers from the city of Istanbul. At the origin of this unique attraction, the architects of Studio Dror, who competed in ingenuity to develop a giant playground for young and old, all in a protected natural environment.
On the program, trails suspended in the air which will allow you to reach the tops of the trees, raised hammocks which will offer an unobstructed view of the forest (acrophobes refrain…), giant trampolines – and of course secure – placed several tens of meters from the ground or even ball pools. There will also be a maze and a large cube-shaped fountain that visitors can slip into on hot days. The architects took care to organize the attractions here and there in the forest so that no tree was sacrificed, as requested by the Istanbul City Hall. They describe Parkorman as “a love story between people and nature ". If that, it does not make you want!
