Melbourne tops best cities for 7th consecutive year

Australia's wild landscapes are some of the most impressive in the world, it's no secret. And it would seem that the urban side of the country is just as appreciated, according to the annual report of the British analysis firm Economist Intelligence Unit . And it doesn't really surprise us, when we see that the metropolis is home to the people behind a feminist bar that introduced a male tax to compensate for salary, the Hidden Rainbow Roots trend or the avolatte (good for this one, we simply admire the effort…). Two other emblematic cities of the ocean territory were also distinguished, Adelaide and Perth, ranked respectively in 6th and 7th place.

Canada also achieves a remarkable score, since two other of its cities follow the winning podium, Toronto (4th) and Calgary (5th). Justin Trudeau must be happy! The last three places in the ranking are occupied by Auckland, in New Zealand, Helsinki in Finland and finally the German city of Hamburg. No French city has been included therefore, maybe next year (although it was already desired last year…). Conversely, the places in the world where life is the most unpleasant relate to countries where the political and social climate and/or the economic situation are fragile, even disastrous. We thus find Syria in first position, followed by nations such as Nigeria, Libya, Bangladesh or Pakistan. We leave you with some shots of the big winner...
